platforms - all compatible with HD, SD and H.264

Press Release Body: London, 1st September 2008: Exterity, a specialist in network
IPTV, will be demonstrating its full range of industry leading building IPTV
solutions at IBC 2008, illustrating the products’ interoperability with every
broadcast format, including SD, HD and H.264. Visitors to the stand (5.C30a) can
see how using Exterity’s products will not only enable them to incorporate existing
equipment into an IPTV system, but also future-proof their investment as the system
can easily accommodate technological advancements such as HD. All products are
ideally suited to the broadcast, corporate, education and hospitality sectors.

In addition to presenting a complete system in action, Exterity will also be
showcasing its pioneering products, including the new HD encoder which is now
shipping. The HD encoder transcends expectations of high definition broadcasting
across building networks in almost every sector, representing an invaluable part of
any building IPTV or digital signage system.

Also on display will be Exterity’s new prodaptor chassis, which was created in
response to the rapid growth in IPTV take-up, with greater use of video as a
critical information resource, coupled with customer demand for more capability in
less IT rack space. Combined with complementary modules (including the HD encoder),
the prodaptor provides users with a highly scalable IPTV system with built in
redundancy and hot swap capabilities, giving superior levels of reliability compared
with other products in the marketplace.

“IPTV within commercial and educational premises is quickly becoming a standard
requirement for both new builds and re-fits. Exterity’s range of IPTV products
make this easily and quickly achievable, demonstrating unsurpassed reliability and
representing an excellent value proposition for corporate, education, hospitality
and broadcast organisations,” comments Colin Farquhar, CEO of Exterity. “Visitors
to IBC are invited to come to our stand and see exactly what is involved, as we
have the full end-to-end system on show. The fact that our full range of products
is compatible with any format, be it H.264, SD or HD means that our products are
both backward and forward compatible, safeguarding our customers’ investments for
the future.”
